Alanna Beaton, Registered Clinical Counsellor, Child & Youth Therapist in Vancouver
About Alanna
I am your friendly and down to earth counsellor with knack for turning life’s challenges into opportunities for growth. I believe that therapy should be both transformative and enjoyable. While we are working hard together to navigate the twists and turns that life throws us, I hope to do so with moments of lighthearted tenderness in between the heaviness that you may be carrying.
During our time together my goal is to make you feel safe, welcome and comfortable to explore your feelings and thoughts. In addition to talk therapy, I specialize in creative therapies such as art, play and sand tray therapies. These therapies allow you to step into your imaginative side, helping you make sense of your past and current experiences in a playful way. Whether addressing issues like anxiety, trauma, or family dynamics, I tailor my methods to fit your individual needs and preferences.

Outside of Work
I am a devoted adventurer who enjoys exploring new places with my two young children and husband. I love to hike the beautiful trails nearby as well as bike around the city and sea wall. Recently, I have taken up pottery which has been a rewarding challenge! The tactile nature of working with clay offers a meditative experience while allowing me to connect with my creative side. My friends and family are an integral part of my happiness, health and wellbeing. I love to dine out with loved ones at new and familiar restaurants, catch a show or concert and be in the presence of those I feel most connected to.
Alanna is accepting new clients at this time. Alanna works both in our office and virtually on Fridays, and has other virtual availability throughout the week. If you would like to connect with her to you can either schedule a free consultation call or email her directly: alanna@havencollective.ca
